Dr. Iris Haist (art historian, gallery director and friend) has arranged a wonderful group exhibition in the Erich-Ohser-Haus. On display now until March are photographs and letters from the Ohser family, picture stories by Nando von Arb and our work on the theme of “Generations”.

Many people know Erich Ohser through the picture stories “Father and Son”. In the Erich Ohser House, various exhibitions about his life and work are held on an ongoing basis.

Nando von Arb has drawn a brilliant book, it tells his childhood with three fathers. I like how he depicts the family members as animals – and plays with dimension. I read through the book in one evening and keep browsing through it.

We did a contribution on the topic of “Generations”. In it, we photographed four women from one family – four generations – and focused mainly on the hands. We wanted to bring femininity into the very masculine Ohser house. The accompanying wetplates feature ginko leaves, which are also a symbol of femininity.
