"The omission of color intensifies the impression of slowing down."
So now it actually happened: our vernissage in Cologne at the Zündorfer Wehrturm! After our exhibition was postponed for two years due to the pandemic, we could finally celebrate the opening.
Our friend and curator of the exhibition Dr. Iris Haist said a few words about it, I took one sentence from the speech here for the headline. Seeing our art through her eyes, or rather her descriptions, is beautiful and surprising. She looks deep into the images and understands connections of different shots – and I often realize afterwards how much photographers also reveal our own feelings.
“Stillness becomes movement. This contrast between rest and movement, which is repeatedly invoked here, is actually a mutual interdependence, a not being able to do without each other, perhaps even the field of tension that rhythms the earth itself – and all of us with it – each individual as well as us as individuals and couples within society.” (Quote from speech)
There is also a small exhibition catalog for the exhibition. If you are interested in it, please contact me, I will be happy to send it to you. If the digital version is enough for you, you can download it here:
